AQUILANI BELIEVES LIVERPOOL STILL ONE OF THE BEST CLUBS

It is quite challenging to describe Liverpool Football Club right now to a non-football person as one of the best clubs in the world, especially given their current run of poor form. The Reds are currently having a very turbulent season, one so turbulent that not a single person would have imagined but despite all of that, it is not expected that Jurgen Klopp will be having his managerial role to worry about. There have been reports that Liverpool made a huge mistake allowing Sadio Mane to leave the club in the summer, with many insisting that the Selegal international superstar was their best player instead of Mohammed Salah, who many others think is better.

While the Merseyside outfit have been struggling for form and consistency so far this current campaign, Mane, on the other hand, has been flourishing for Bayern Munich since joining the German Bundesliga giants some few months ago. Although Salah scored a brace as Jurgen Klopp and his men secured a nerve-calming 2-0 win against Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday night,  he has been accuse dof being largely underwhelming so far this season, given his quality and usual output in the Liverpool attack

Alberto Aquilani revealed in a recent interview that regardless of what his former club are going through at the moment, he still sees them as one of the best clubs in the world right now and stated that nothing would change that thought in his head. The former Reds attacker also added that even though he has been unimpressed by the club in recent times he is still rooting for them to return even stronger and challenge the teams that are currently on fire in the Premier League, Arsenal and Manchester City and give them a big challenge.

MILAN MISS OUT ON BIG OPPORTUNITY

Italian football giants AC Milan failed to take advantage of a big opportunity in the Serie A title race after they failed to beat Udinese at home. A win over the team from Udine would have given AC Milan a four-point lead over city rivals Inter Milan at the Italian Serie A summit and boost their bid to win take the Serie A title away from Inter Milan this season. They could only manage a 1-1 draw with Udinese thereby opening just a two-point lead over the Nerazzuri.

Defending champions Inter Milan are going through a rough patch in Italian football at the moment and they took their winless run in the Serie A to four games with the goalless draw at the home of Genoa, but AC Milan could not capitalise on the current poor form by the Nerazzuri after recording draws in their last two games and against teams in the bottom seven. The Italian football heavyweights were forced to a 2-2 draw at bottom team Salernitanabefore they played out another draw with Udinese who are in 14th place on the Italian Serie A log.

AC Milan took a first half lead against Udinese at home through in-form Portuguese attacker Rafael Leao who has been attracting the interest of Premier League clubs such as Arsenal due to his form. His goal came in the 29th minute and it made him the third Portuguese player to score at least 20 Serie A goals after Milan legend Rui Costa and Cristiano Ronaldo. Rui Costa has 42 Serie A goals to his name, while Manchester United star Ronaldo has 82 Serie A goals. Destiny Udogie proved to be the saviour for Udinese after he scored their equaliser around the midway point of the second half.

Milan were on a two-match winning run in the Italian Serie A before the Salernitana game. After the draw with Udinese, AC Milan have 57 points, while title rivals Inter Milan and Napoli have 55 points and 54 points respectively. Inter and Napoli have a game in hand on AC Milan.
